Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.As always I am so grateful for this day, another ordinary June day. It's been wonderful stepping it out 💯, now that it's almost bedtime 💤 let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and also share some of the trending stories. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I started the day with lots of brisk walking around the neighbourhood, today was a little warmer than yesterday which motivated me to keep going. Then I was back indoors for some resting and some of the little household chores here and there. Later in the afternoon I had to get something to cook from the shopping centre. Then back home I squeezed in the usual nap before the evening set in. Next came the slow paced evening walking session enjoying the cool breeze🍃.Throughout the day I have been following up on the trending news, that's next.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. In Nairobi the WRC safari rally kicked off for the next three days,This year is a celebration of 70 years of rallying in Kenya. It all began in 1953 as a celebration of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in the UK. There are drivers from every corner of the globe and may the fastest and best driver win.
Globally, US trending as news broke that the missing submersible likely imploded in a catastrophic loss🙀.
The vessel went missing on Sunday with five people on board while making a descent to the sea bed where the ruins of the titanic lies. Unfortunately all on board are believed to be dead😭.
Under water robots will however remain at the scene to gather more information and some of the debris of the submersible. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 💯.
Over in Ukraine, the counteroffensive fighting raged. Ukrainian missiles struck a bridge connecting Crimea and Russian held parts of Kherson.
Trending in the UK, bank of England hiked interest rates to a 15 year high , raising fears that the country was headed for a recession🙀. They are definitely seeking to combat the stubbornly high inflation. Lucky are those who know about bitcoin and other wonderful decentralized cryptos like hive💯.
