I thank you all for stopping by yet again. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get it 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Over in Sudan the army has resumed airstrikes as the shaky ceasefire falls apart🙀. The WFP warehouse was attacked and food items looted. The war is about to get worse as the truce talks in Saudi Arabia have been suspended🙀.
Globally, the Ukrainian air force held large scale drills in preparation for a counter offensive. Ukraine officials said 15 Russian missiles and 20 drones were shot down in the latest air raid on Kyiv😹.
Elsewhere governor of Russia's Belgorod region says two people killed in shelling by Ukrainian forces.
Meanwhile, in Kosovo the PM has blamed the Serbian govt for the tension and protests in the north🙀.
Let's go to Asia, India trending with a devastating train 🚆 crash in Odisha. Three passenger trains and a cargo train were involved leaving 50 dead and several injured🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families😭.
Across the pond in the US, the debt ceiling bill sailed through and is now on the president's desk. The US Senate voted 63-36 yesterday to approve the bill suspending the debt ceiling. The US govt had faced defaulting on its debts for the first time in history on Monday.
Finally, in crazy weather, Canada has sent military to the eastern province of Nova Scotia to fight wild fires 🔥. The fires have forced 28,000 people from their homes🙀. Let's hope it rains 🌧️.
