Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. A wonderful day fading away fast and as always I am raring to go with my stepping activities and some of the trending news. We are bang in the middle of the month. Thank you for being here yet again 👏 and let's dig in 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. I had a rather short session then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹; today was budget reading day and some taxes are up others are down. We will see how prices turn out starting tomorrow but everything is becoming more expensive🙀.
Globally, Greece trending as 9 people smugglers were arrested over yesterday's migrants boat that sunk killing hundreds of people😭. Rescue efforts still ongoing but hopes of finding anyone alive are dwindling.
Over in Ukraine, UN nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi, has visited Russian controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Measures are being taken to stabilize the site as fighting rages around that area.
In the UK, the parliamentary committee investigating the party gate scandal has found that former PM Boris Johnson badly misled the house🙀. He was due to be suspended for 90 days but he pre emptyed that by resigning early last week 😹.
Not far from there, political shenanigans 😹 as Kosovo banned trucks with Serb number plates from entering their territory.
Let's go to the middle east, Lebanon trending as protesters stormed banks demanding their money 🙀. They smashed windows and started fires. This is really a good example why we need btc/cryptos and also self custody💯.
Across the pond, Colombia is now one step away from fully legalizing the recreational use of marijuana. Senators are set to conclude and vote on that bill on Friday.
Finally, in crazy weather cyclone biparjoy has made landfall in western India and south Pakistan. The strong winds and floods have caused major damage to houses and power infrastructure. Let's hope it slows down💯
