Hello everyone π,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day fades away, am raring to go with my stepping activities of the day including some of the trending stories I came across. It is indeed a blessing to be aliveπ―.Thank you for being here and let's get cracking π¨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze π as I made my way around the neighborhood π². But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out walking in the hills. Next came the refreshing napπ€. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news.
Some interesting games in the EPL especially that one between Arsenal and LiverpoolπΉ.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept goingπΉ,
Globally, another horrendous day in Gaza as the fighting and airstrikes continued in the south city of Rafaπ. Israel says 225 of its soldiers have died so far.
Lebanon trending as an Israeli missile landed near mourners at a funeralπ. Luckily no one was injured. Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire across borders over that area.
Not far off, US and UK hit 36 houthi targets in Yemenπ. This in response to houthis attacking commercial vessels in the red sea. Iran has condemned those strikes,it is widely known that Iran support and supplies themπΉ.
Some trending news from Africa, Namibia gets new president as vice president was sworn in. This after the death of 82 year old president from cancer last nightπ.
Still in Africa, police and protesters clash after Senegal's president indefinitely postponed the upcoming electionsπ. He is definitely up to no good.
Across the pond , El Salvador is voting in both presidential and legislative polls. The current president Nayib Bukele faces virtually no competition. He is quite popular for making bitcoin legal tenderπ―.
With a 70% approval rating from voters he is definitely headed for a second term. Congratulations π to him π.
Finally, today the 4th of February, Facebook has turned 20 years oldπ. With 3 billion users it is still the world's largest social media platform. Congratulations π and happy birthdayπ₯³. Too bad they don't share profits with usersπΏ, Zuckerberg and staff take it all. Imagine Blurt with 3 billion users?
So that was Sunday and I wanna thank you for reading this far π. I truly appreciate your continued support π and love π. Sending back that love π and lots of blessings πΌπ to everyone.
Let's touch base again tomorrow on an awesome Monday π. Until then keep stepping and enjoying your weekend π.
Soon it will be bedtime π€, so good night π΄ and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata.
