Hello everyone 👋,
Please give it up for Bob and yours truly on another exciting Caturday😹. You definitely know the drill every Saturday, the kitties have to raid the blockchain😻. It's been an active day and as it draws to a close am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's get started 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off the day with the fast paced morning session, enjoying the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲.
Then I was back indoors where I rested for a while before logging into my emails and trending news of the day.
Later in the afternoon I stopped by the shopping center for some cooking groceries, walked around the mall for a while before heading back home 🏡.
Next came the usual nap 💤 dreaming off until sometime early evening when I got up feeling quite refreshed 💪. Then I continued watching some of the earlier videos and also news. There were some interesting EPL matches going on
Anyways as the evening set in, I had my ginger tea ☕ and then stepped out for the sunset 🌇☀️🌅 walk. An extended walk as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃.
So next lets look at what has been trending...
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going.
On the continent, the African union summit kicked off in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Presidents and leaders are there to discuss matters affecting the continent.
Globally, another devastating, bloody day in Gaza as intense bombardment in south and central regions kept going😿. 83 Palestinians have lost their lives in the past 24 hours.
In a televised news conference, PM Netanyahu has said there will be no victory without Rafa operation🙀. A Rafa ground invasion means more civilian deaths on a higher scale than has ever been seen😿.
Tel Aviv also trending, as anti govt protesters gathered to ask PM Netanyahu to resign😹.
Another protest was by families of Hamas captives who are asking the govt to do more to secure safe release of their loved ones.
Speaking of protests, let's cross to Europe where tens of thousands of people showed up in London to protests against killings in Gaza. The pro Palestinian protesters were estimated to be about 250k🙀.
Similar protests were seen in Istanbul, turkey. Protesters calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Also trending, more than 350 people have been detained at Alexei Navalny memorials across cities and towns in Russia🙀. No gatherings allowed😿.
Meanwhile, Russian officials are hiding his body😡.Only God knows what they did to that man😭.
Across the pond in the US, more pro Palestinian protests in Washington DC as people marched towards white house asking for an immediate ceasefire and end to deaths in Gaza.
