Hello everyone π,
Happy Monday π and a very warm welcome to my world π. I am definitely grateful for this new week and this day too. As it comes to an end, am raring to go with my stepping activities as well as some of the stories that caught my eye π. Let's dive in π¨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. I did enjoy that fresh morning breezeπ. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going πΉ. A sad day for the country as the winner of last year's Chicago marathon was killed in a grisly car accident. 24 year old Kelvin Kiptum broke the world record in that October marathon and was looking forward to the olympics. My sincere condolences to his familyπ.
Globally, another horrendous day in Gaza as 164 people killed in 24 hoursπΏ. Bringing the death toll to 28,340 since October 7π.
There were attacks in Khan Younis and fighting in Rafa. In Rafa two Israeli captives held by Hamas were rescued and flown to Tel Aviv.
As a ground offensive looms in Rafa, people are now fleeing Rafa and heading to Deir Al Balah in central Gaza.
In Israel political shenanigans πΉ as divisions in the cabinet have been amplified. The finance minister has warned PM Netanyahu against ceasefire negotiationsπ.
Trending in Europe, Argentinian president Javier Milei visited the Pope at the vatican after visiting Israel. He apologized for earlier insultsπΉ.
Also trending, a Dutch appeals court rules the Netherlands must stop sending F3 jet parts to Israelπ. Human rights groups have warned Israel may be contravening international laws by what's going on in Gaza. However the dutch govt says it will appeal that decision.
Then protests in Kosovo by ethnic Serbians angry at the ban of the Serbian dinar for the euro.
Speaking of currency; Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso are arranging a common currency. They say they want to step out of 107 years of French robberyπΉ.
Speaking of France, polish PM Donald Tusk was in Paris and had talks with president Macron, now headed to Germany.
Across the pond in the US, Jordanian king Abdullah and his wife are visiting the white house for talks with president Biden. Later they will give a press conference.
Then former president Donald Trump caused jitters among NATO membersπΉ. Saying if he was re-elected he would encourage Russia to attack NATO members who don't pay upπ.
Finally, Pakistani protesters blocked highways to demonstrate election resultsπ. Political parties are now holding talks to try form a govt. Let's hope they doπ―.
So that was Monday and I wanna thank you for reading this far π. I truly appreciate your continued support π and love π. Sending back that love π and lots of blessings πΌπ to everyone.
See you again tomorrow on a terrific Tuesday βΊοΈ. Until then keep stepping and enjoying yourselves to the max π―.So that's it, stay safe, take care and good bye πππ Hakuna Matata π.
