Hello everyone 👋,

Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories making headlines. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the shopping centre for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches. The EPL had some interesting games.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day😻.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, more Israeli airstrikes in the south of Gaza with deaths reported😿. At least 28,064 Palestinians killed since October 7 😭.
Human rights groups have warned Israeli assault on Rafa could be catastrophic to civilians. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the military to plan for the evacuation of civilians before ground invasion🙀.
Over 1.4 million Palestinians are trapped in Rafa after fleeing shelling in most of Gaza.
Children are the innocent victims of the war. Of the 28k people dead, 12k are children😭. The Italian government has rescued over 100 children with grave injuries to be treated in Italy🎊🎉.
These kids are enduring a lot of pain, imagine being operated on with no anaesthetic😿. Then later no pain medication🙀. Sometimes there's no doctor to suture the cuts and death occurs😡.
Lebanon trending as a Hamas official narrowly escaped death from an Israeli drone strike that targeted a car he was traveling in. Two pedestrians were however killed in that attack😿.
In Israel, police in Tel Aviv broke up anti Netanyahu protests 🙀.
Not far off in Pakistan, jailed Imran Khan and Nawaz sharif both claim election win, despite no clear majority. Imran's PTI has 102 seats, Nawaz PMLN 73 seats and Bhutto PPP 54 seats so far. A coalition govt is going to be the only option.
Let's go to Europe, where Ukraine trending as Russia fired a barrage of drones overnight🙀. 23 of 31 drones intercepted, however a petrol depot in Kharkiv was hit causing some serious fire 🔥. Deaths reported 😭.
In Spain, farmers protested their dwindling earning caused by strict EU regulations and availability of cheaper products from outside the EU🙀.
Finally, Qatar won the AFC Asian cup in historic win over Jordan. Congratulations 🎉 to them. Well done🎊.
Tomorrow will be the conclusion of the AFCON tournament as Nigeria goes one on one with Ivory coast. May the best team win💯.
