Hello everyone😻,
Happy Sunday 😊 and a very warm welcome to my report. As usual it's a day of gratitude and appreciating the good in our lives 💯. In this crazy world if you are healthy, have a roof over your head, food and peace then you have it all😹.
Anyways, thank you for reading and let's dive right in 💨.
So as always, I began my day with a short morning walk around the neighborhood.
Waking up to the sun 🌞 outside is quite a motivation and I was out and about for close to twenty minutes. It was quite warm a lovely morning breeze
Next I was back indoors handling the usual house chores and catching up with the trending stories from around the globe. There were some interesting games in the EPL.
The evening saw me go out towards Westminster, a short bus ride to go check out the London eye and parliament buildings.
I had a walk around the bridge on both sides, taking pictures as I made my way around. Lots of tourists visit this area especially in the warm weather.
I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
Next let's look at what has been happening around the world 🌍.
Lets start in the middle east, as always Gaza trending as more Palestinians were killed in the ongoing Israeli airstrikes🙀.
Among the dead included 6 Israeli captives who were being held in southern Gaza😿.
Hamas say, Netanyahu chose occupation over captives.
The death of those captives led to massive protests in Tel Aviv. Protesters clashed with police as some of them blocked major roads lighting bonfires🙀.
They are demanding PM Netanyahu reach a deal with Hamas to free the now remaining 97 captives.
To add pressure to the govt, the head of one of the largest labour union has ordered for a general strike all over Israel tomorrow🙀.
Let's wait and see if Netanyahu will bow to that pressure. He has vowed to fight until Hamas is totally destroyed.
In Europe, Germany trending as the far right hailed a historic election victory in the eastern state of Thuringia. The result would give the far right its first vote win in a state parliament since world war two🙀. Though it has little hope of forming a govt in that state.
The afd came a close second in the more populous state of Saxony.
In the other war, Russia continued its assault on kharkiv, hitting a shopping mall injuring 44 Ukrainians😿.
Ukraine on the other hand launched a drone attack on Russia. Russia saying it shot down 158 of the drones over 15 regions🙀. However, an oil refinery near Moscow was hit and damaged.
Across the pond, Mexico trending as president Lopez Obrador or AMLO is set to leave office within a month but with record approval ratings. He is quite popular for lifting many out of poverty. He will give his last state of the nation address.Though problems still exist he has done a good job💯.
So that's about it for today, wishing everyone a wonderful new week ahead as we get into September.
