Hello everyone π»,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's a day of gratitude and am feeling quite blessed π―, things could be worse but they certainly aren't.
Let's quickly proceed to breakdown this last Sunday of September. You definitely know the drill, come on π¨.
So I began my day with a little bit of stretching then I was out for a walk, actually getting groceries, short but nice walk
It was quite chilly and cloudy βοΈ as I made my way. The temps have dipped a little, winter is definitely on its way.
Later I was back indoors handling the usual house chores. Then settled down to some you tube videos and trending stories. A little bit of EPL games here and thereπΉ.
My final walk was the slow paced sunset π walk around the neighborhood ending up at the park π².
Lebanon still trending as multiple airstrikes were carried out on Dahiyeh surburb in the south of Beirutπ.
At least 133 people were killed and many injured in the Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon this SundayπΏ.
Close to a million people are on the move fleeing into Syria as they fear an Israeli ground incursion.
Israeli military says 20 Hezbollah leaders were killed alongside Hassan Nasrallah in the Friday attacksπ.
The body of Nasrallah has been recovered from the rubble, Monday starts five days of mourning, no word yet on his funeral.
Meanwhile, the French foreign minister has arrived in Beirut, probably for diplomatic efforts to stop escalation.
In Gaza, another bloody day as 28 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes todayπΏ.
More Israeli airstrikes, this time in Yemen. Israel hit two power plants and fuel depot in the port city of Hodeidahπ. Yesterday the houthis had tried to hit Tel Aviv with a long range missile that was intercepted by the defence system.
Four people reported dead and a huge fireπ₯ around the fuel depot.
Let's go to Europe, political shenanigans πΉ in Austria. The far right party is on course to win the general polls for the first time since world war twoπ.
Protesters rallied in Vienna following that far right win. That party will have to form a coalition with other parties to form a government but they would be in chargeπ.
Germany has introduced border controls to try and stem illegal migration into its territory.
Across the pond, Mexican president, AMLO, is leaving office the highest ever approval ratingsππ.
His programs/projects have lifted at least 8 million people out of poverty. Let's see if his predecessor can match thatπΉ.
Finally, in crazy weather, Nepal trending as two days of relentless monsoon rain π§οΈ has caused severe flooding, damage and death of 150 peopleπΏ.
Schools have been closed as the floods and landslides bring the country to a near standstillπ.Rescue is underway but remember to keep that country in your prayers.
All's well that ends well π―.
So that's it from me today, see you again tomorrow on an awesome Monday. Until then stay safe, take care and cheerioβ€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»π―
