Hello everyone π»,
TGIF π and a very warm welcome to my report. The weekend is here in a few and I have had a wonderful day stepping it out.
It's now that time of day to slow down, get ready for bed and let you in on how my day went including some of the trending global stories that caught my eye π.
Thank you for stopping by yet again, let's get cracking π¨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off the day with some rounds in the neighborhood. I was amazed to see the sun π popping thru the curtain by 8amπΉ.
Soon I was out and away enjoying the cool morning breeze. I stopped by the grocery then kept going further down the street and into the main road.
Not such a long walk as I was back in thirty minutes when the clouds βοΈ took over from the sunπΏ.
Then I got on with the usual house chores and also checked the trending stories of the day.
Come evening time, the sun π was on and off as I made my way out for the slow paced sunset π walk.
I made it back home safely after about an hour around the neighborhood and in the local park.
Now let's look at some of the trending stories this Friday.
As always lets start in Gaza, the bloodshed continued with 16 people killed across the strip this FridayπΏ.
Some of those were killed in the designated safe zone of Al Mawasi tent βΊ campπ.
Meanwhile, the polio vaccination campaign has concluded with nearly a million children vaccinated. The target of vaccinating 90% of the children has been metπ―.
Also trending, the body of Turkish American activist has arrived in Turkey for burial tomorrow. She was shot in occupied west bank by a bullet fired by Israeli military.
Today an eye witness who saw it all, said an Israeli soldier standing on a rooftop deliberately aimed and shot at the activistπ.
Unfortunately I don't think anyone will be held responsible for that death. An Al Jazeera journalist who was also American was shot and nothing much has been done about itπΏ. So I don't see anything much happening with this oneπ.
Across the pond in the US: There are strong indications that the US and UK are poised to lift restrictions within days on Ukraine using long range missiles against targets inside Russiaπ.
The UK PM Keir Starmer is in Washington to discuss this issue among others with president Biden.
So are we slowly heading into world war 3π. Putin yesterday said if any long range weapon is used to hit targets deep in Russia, it will be a war between Russia and NATO.
I really hope it won't escalate into a larger war. Fingers crossedπ€.
Finally in the UK, a couple who got married in a cemetery on what is supposedly the unluckiest day of the year have said the day was pretty perfectπΉ.
They tied the knot last year on Friday October the 13th. The bride wore a black dress and they said their vows by candlelight with curtains drawnπ.
I don't know if this Friday the 13th if there were any weddingsπΉ. People can be super weird.
Anyways, that's about it for today. Let's touch base again tomorrow on a wonderful Saturday or is it Caturday πΉ.
Am gonna say good night and adios β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π».
