Hello everyone π»,
Happy Caturday π and a very warm welcome to my report. Watch out the kitties are taking over the blockchain for a while, in a good wayπΉ. Meow.....
Thanks for stopping by and let's go ahead and breakdown my day including the trending stories. Here we go again π¨.
So today, as always I had a morning walk going for groceries around the neighborhood. Then I was indoors most of the time. Took care of house chores and cooking....
I watched some youtube and also followed up on the trending stories. There were also some exciting matches going on in the EPL. Also that la Liga, Real Madrid vs BarcelonaπΉ.
My final walk was this evening, the usual sunset π walk. A nice, long walk around the neighborhood, and then back home. A few weeks back, I met this friendly kitty, I said hi and he came and paused for a few picsπΉ. I have shared these pics once before.
Now let's get into some of the trending stories.
As always starting in Gaza, the health ministry called it a horrific massacre as Israeli airstrikes targeted five residential buildings in Beit Lahia in northern Gazaπ.
34 Palestinians reportedly killed in that attackπΏ.
Northern Gaza is under Israeli siege and Israeli troops shot at people rushing to save those trapped under the rubbleπ.
In the same northern Gaza, Israeli forces raided the Kamal Adwan hospital leaving it bullet riddled with lots of damageπ.
They arrested and detained male health care workers.
On the other side, Hezbollah is warning residents of 25 settlements in north Israel to immediately evacuateπ.
Hezbollah says those settlements have become bases for Israeli military and are now legitimate targets.
Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, the usual protests went ahead. Asking the govt to do more to bring captives held in Gaza. Accusing Netanyahu of sabotaging talks aimed to free the captives.
Also trending, Israel carried out airstrikes in Iran targeting army bases in different areasπ. Iran says the damage was minimal but 4 military personnel were killed in those strikes.
Iran now faces hard choices between risks of escalation or looking weakπ. Hopefully they don't escalate.
Over to Europe, Georgia trending as they held pivotal parliamentary election. The Moscow leaning ruling party is leading pro-EU opposition in the crucial vote.
Irregularities and violence was reported in some polling stations with accusations of vote stuffingπ.
In London, UK far right protesters marched in the streets.
A counter march was also held by another group calling themselves anti racistsπΉ.
Police worked hard to keep both groups apart.
Portugal trending as huge protests were held against police brutality after the shooting of an unarmed black manπ.
Finally in crazy weather, flooding in the Philippines after tropical storm Tami, made landfall with heavy rain π§οΈ and strong windsπ.
Evacuations are ongoing as emergency services try to rescue people trapped in some areas.Hopefully everything will be fine. All's well that ends well π―.
Anyways, that's it from me, see you again tomorrow on an amazing Sunday funday. Until then stay safe, take care and toodles β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»π―.
