Hello everyone 😻,
TGIF 🎊🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. It's the spooky 13th Friday😹.I trust your day is going well 💯, mine has been awesome and it's now that time of day to slow down and fill you in on how it went including the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
Without much further ado let's glide in 💨.
So I began my day with a quick walk around the neighborhood. Another cloudy chilly drizzly 🌧️ morning but I was dressed appropriately.
Then I was back indoors after about 20 minutes of walking ending up at the grocery.
I set out to do some house chores before settling down to some you tube videos and checking on trending stories on x.
The day remained cloudy until it turned dark around 4pm😹.
The evening saw me out for my final walk around the park before heading back indoors.
The three thousand steps I had acquired in the morning all turned into a big zero, I don't know what's wrong with the app😿.
So now let's quickly take a look at what has been trending.
Starting off in Gaza, another horrendous bloody day unfolded with 50 Palestinians killed across the strip today😿.
In Syria, wild celebrating witnessed throughout the country after Friday prayers. People are so relieved after 54 years of Assad regime🎉🎊.
However, hard work lies ahead even as they celebrate, they must unite and form an inclusive government that will lead to growth💯.
Meanwhile, Israel is doing the most destroying Syria's military capabilities and stockpiles of weapons🙀. Hundreds of airstrikes have been going on since Assad regime fell on Sunday.
There's also been intense diplomacy as US secretary of state Anthony Blinken went from Turkey to a surprise visit in Iraq, all discussing the way forward and how to support Syria now that Assad is out.
More discussion on Syria as US national security advisor Jake Sullivan stopped by in Doha Qatar and met Qatari PM.
In the other war, Russia bombarded Ukraine last night with a huge barrage of missiles and drones all targeting energy infrastructure🙀.
People were seen getting into underground stations in Kyiv as sirens rang out.
Meanwhile, there's heavy fighting in the eastern town of Pokrovsk as Russia tries to capture it🙀.
Finally, french president Macron has appointed centrist leader Francois Bayrou as new PM.
The veteran politician is tasked with hauling the nation from crisis after the previous govt was toppled.
