Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. We are nearly getting close to the end of the month 😹. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food, nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a nice day. However, flooding is being reported in parts of the country🙀.
Globally, another horrendous day in Gaza as multiple Israeli airstrikes
hit parts of Rafa in Gaza. Deaths and destruction reported😿.
In Gaza city, 8 workers who help out with aid efforts were killed in an Israeli airstrike🙀.
In Israel, the war cabinet was meeting to discuss the ground invasion in Rafa. Israel has been warned by US and other western countries that an invasion in Rafa would be catastrophic but they are still planning an attack🙀.
Across the pond in the US, over 100 students arrested in California and Texas as Gaza protests intensified.
Let's see how far this goes.
Also trending, Trump faces a supreme court immunity test as the hush money trial continues. He will be lucky if the supreme court rules that he is immune from criminal charges or the court could rule that he isn't immune, then the trial will continue. Let's wait and see what happens.
Finally, Haiti trending as it sworn in a new transitional council to take over the country. The country has been ravaged by gun violence and lawlessness for months🙀. Regaining control will not be an easy task but it can be done with proper strategic planning. Wishing the transitional council the very best as they take the lead 💯.
