Hello everyone π»,
Happy Caturday π and a very warm welcome to my report. Watch out the kitties are taking over the blockchain for a while, in a good wayπΉ. Meow.....
Thanks for stopping by and let's go ahead and breakdown my day including the trending stories. Here we go again π¨.
So today, as always I had a quick morning walk going for groceries around the neighborhood.
It was not pretty out there, rainy and cold, so I was warmly dressed with an umbrella.
Then I was indoors most of the time. Took care of house chores and cooking....
I watched some youtube and also followed up on the trending stories. There were also some exciting matches going on in the EPL. Nottingham Forest stunned Man U with first win at Old Trafford in 30 yearsπΉ.
My final walk was this evening, the usual sunset π walk. A nice walk around the neighborhood, and then back home. A few weeks back, I met this friendly kitty, I said hi and he came and paused for a few picsπΉ. I have shared these pics once before.
Now let's get into some of the trending stories.
Starting off in Gaza, the bloodbath continued with 63 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes across the stripπΏ. 23 of those killed in a single strike at a residential building in Al Nusierat refugee camp.
In the north, Israeli forces were seen firing at people attempting to rescue those injured near Kamal Adwan hospitalπ.
Not far off, two Israeli airstrikes in south Lebanon have killed six people and wounded several othersπ.
Meanwhile Syria trending as opposition forces are moving fast towards Damascus. The fighters took over the strategic city of Homs. They freed hundreds of inmates from the central prisonπ.
The opposition fighters have toppled the statue of Bashar Al Assad's late father on the outskirts of Damascus.
More than 2,000 Syrian govt troops have retreated into Iraq with their military equipment and turned themselves inπΉ.
I don't know if president Bashir Al Assad will survive this oneπ. He has always relied on Russia and Iran to stay in power.
On the sidelines of the Doha forum in Qatar, foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey met to discuss the ongoing unrest in Syria.
In Europe, France trending as the Notre Dame cathedral or old lady of Paris reopened after that devastating fire π₯ five years ago.
Heads of state including Macron, Trump, Zelensky, Prince William were present at the opening ceremony.
It cost $800 million and took thousands of artists to restore the cathedral.
In Georgia, it was the tenth consecutive day of protests by pro EU protesters. They engage with police and every night close to 50 people are arrested. Many left with injuries and some hospitalizedπΏ.
In Asia, South Korean president has survived an impeachment attempt. He angered many people when he tried to impose martial law.
He has however apologized on national tv for that poor decisionπΉ.
Finally, in crazy weather, two men have been killed by falling treesπ²on their cars as storm Darragh rages in the UKπΏ.
Gusts of upto 93mph battered some areas as the storm caused significant disruption in south Wales, western England and North Ireland, with many trainπ services and flights cancelledπ.
I didn't feel much of the effects in London, but it's been quite rainy β and cold π₯Ά the entire day. And very windy tooπ.
Hopefully everything will be fine. All's well that ends well π―.
Anyways, that's it from me, see you again tomorrow on an amazing Sunday funday. Until then stay safe, take care and toodles β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»π―.
