Happy Sunday 😊 and a very warm welcome to my report. As always it's a day of gratitude and appreciating the small blessings in our lives. No matter how bad things seem remember there's someone who has it worse than you. Don't worry, be happy💯.
So now , let's quickly get a breakdown of how my stepping went including the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
So I did get some walking done this morning. I did a little bit of stretching before heading out for a walk around the neighborhood. Being a Sunday, I was mostly alone in the streets😹.
That morning 🌞 sun was amazing as I made my way around the neighborhood.
I did get back home and into some laundry and cooking.
Most of the day i watched some YouTube and also some of the final action at the Paris Olympics.
In the evening, I finished off with the slow paced sunset 🌄 walk around Emirates stadium, the arsenal grounds.
So that was the stepping, let's jump into the trending stories.
In the UK, Stockport trending as a funeral was held for nine year old girl who was a victim of stabbing that has led to the far right protests😿.
Ukraine trending as a Russian attack in Kyiv killed two😿. Meanwhile Ukraine kept their invasion into the Kursk region of Russia going🙀.
Then, Russia and Ukraine are blaming each other for a fire 🔥 at zaporizhia nuclear power plant🙀. Sources saying that fire had been confined.
In the middle east, Gaza trending as tens of thousands of Palestinian have been forced to flee from Khan Younis🙀.
Isreali army dropped leaflets warning civilians to leave immediately.
Meanwhile, Qatari Egyptian and US leaders have issued a joint statement calling for conclusion of Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Hamas has asked mediators to present a plan based on past talks rather than new negotiations.
Fingers crossed they finally reach an agreement to stop further bloodshed and save civilians💯.
Across the pond, US president Biden said in an interview that a ceasefire is still possible before the end of his presidency.
Finally, the curtains are coming down on the Paris Olympics. The closing ceremony was held in the Stade de France.
Hollywood superstar, Tom Cruise, dove or is it dived into the closing ceremony among other fanfare including fireworks 😹.
The torch/flag has now been passed to Los Angeles CA for the next games in the summer of 2028. The athletes have four years to practice and come back to wow us yet again 😹.
