Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome to my report. As always missing Bob on this caturday when kitties take over the blockchain😻.
I had an encounter with the neighbors kitty in the pic but he/she was quite rude n unfriendly😹. I will get him or her as days go by, probably with some food enticement😹.
Anyways I have had a great day, I must say lucky too as I picked up the one dollar coin pictured🎊. Googling it showed me the value could be up to $1,000, what are the odds of picking a US coin in UK😹.
This happened during the morning walk, it looked drizzly 🌧️ but I went out anyway only to see something shiny in the middle of the road, someone must have dropped it but I don't know who it's a busy area late into the night.
So find us keep us😹, I doubt the owner reads my blog.
Then I was back indoors for the usual chores around the house. Did the laundry and cooking too.
In the afternoon, I was online following up on the trending news and watched some YouTube videos too. And Twitter or is it X 😹.
The final walk came this evening, quite a bright evening as the sun was out past seven PM as I made my way around the park.
Let's now proceed with the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
In Gaza, Israel is conducting air, land and sea attacks in areas classified as safe zones.
Today a major operation in central Gaza has killed over 210 Palestinians😿. A shocking scene as bodies were scattered all over Al Nusierat refugee camp🙀. Body parts and blood splatters everywhere, a real horror bloodbath. The death toll is meant to rise as some bodies are still trapped under the rubble😿.
Al Aqsa hospital has been overwhelmed with the injured as space and medical supplies needed to cure them ran out. Operations are being done without anesthetic😿.
All this damage resulted in the rescue of 4 captives. They were flown to Tel Aviv where they were taken to hospital after their 246 days in captivity. They were all said to be ok 💯.
However, unconfirmed sources are saying there may be other captives killed in that operation. The real answers will follow in the coming hours.
Speaking of Tel Aviv, anti govt protests have been held asking PM Netanyahu to resign and a safe return of captives still held in Gaza. There were arrests as police tried to disperse protesters.
In London, thousands of people gathered to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Similar pro Palestinian protests took place in Bilbao Spain as protesters lied down flat to demonstrate deaths in Gaza😿.
Across the pond in Washington DC, protesters are outside the white house ready for their march asking for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Biden is on a state visit to France, welcomed by Macron at the Elysee palace.
Also trending in Europe, Bulgarians head into parliamentary elections tomorrow. The sixth elections in three years🙀. Something is definitely not right.
Finally, a world war 2 veteran, 100 has wed his 96 year old bride near D-Day beach🎉, congratulations to them🎊. It's never too late.
Final, final....Hundreds of naked cyclists dared to bare all as they descended on London to raise greater awareness of climate change on Saturday.
The traffic-stopping stunt saw sustainability advocates wheeling their way along The Mall and up to Buckingham Palace on Saturday as part of the World Naked Bike Ride.
Now in its 20th year, the global protest movement organises rides in hundreds of cities around the world with the aim of promoting cycling as a more sustainable mode of transport than cars. I will probably attend the next one😹.
