Happy hump day 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. We are bang in the middle of the week and the month, Uptober is here and BTC is doing it😹. I have had just another ordinary day and as the midnight hour beckons it's time to slow down and take a look at how the day went including the trending stories.
So sit tight and let's take it away 💨.
So today I had the chance of a morning walk and that happened just around the neighborhood.
A short walk as it was a little chilly and I began feeling a headache coming on😿.
So I was back indoors and after a warm cup of tea, I was ok😹.
I did some house chores as the time went by.
Later in the day, the sun 🌞 was out and it was a lovely day. I passed by the park on my way from getting groceries
I returned later on the afternoon and I hang around the house. Watched some news and checked out Twitter or is it X😹.
My last walk was the usual slow paced sunset 🌄 walk around the neighborhood just enjoying the cool breeze.
So that was my day, let's now look at some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
Lebanon still trending as Israeli airstrikes kept coming in several area. One of the airstrikes hit a municipal building in the town of Nabatieh, killed 16 people including the mayor🙀.
More bloodshed continued in the Gaza strip, as airstrikes hit many places. In the north, the Israeli army is on the ground in Jabalia on the eleventh day of a siege🙀. Snipers shooting anyone on sight. No food delivery😿.
The situation is so serious that the US is urging Israel to let food trucks into the area or face consequences🙀.
Across the pond in the US, the UN security council had a meeting discussing what is happening in the middle east.
Back in Europe, Brussels trending as a joint EU - GCC summit was held discussing the ongoing conflict. Qatar asking for a ceasefire in both Gaza and Lebanon.
In the other war, Ukrainian president Zelensky has presented parliament with a victory plan to end the war. It includes NATO membership🙀.
Meanwhile to boost Ukraine's army, feared patrols hunt for potential conscripts.
Officials looking for men stalk nightclubs, concerts and subway stations, some people accuse the patrols of dubious measures🙀.
An estimated 80,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since the war started in 2022, and it's natural not everyone would be enthusiastic to join the army.
In Africa, Nigeria trending as an oil tanker explosion killed over 140 people😿. They had gathered to siphon petrol from the overturned tanker. This has happened in other countries including Kenya, with similar devastating consequences.
An overturned tanker should never be approached💯.
Finally, Cameroon's president, 91 year old Paul Biya's month long absence from the public eye is causing intense speculation about his health😹.
Biya, who has long faced health suspicions, often disappears for weeks on end, only to resurface again.
He definitely has health problems, I know I wouldn't want to be president of anything, let alone a country at 91 years of age.These African dictators are just greedy😹.
Anyways lets do this all over again tomorrow on an amazing throwback Thursday.
