Hello everyone π»,
Happy hump day π and a very warm welcome to my report. We are bang in the middle of the week as we look forward to crossing into June. I have had just another ordinary day and as the midnight hour beckons it's time to slow down and take a look at how the day went including the trending stories.
So sit tight and let's take it away π¨.
So today I had the chance of a morning walk and that happened just around the neighborhood.
A short walk as it was a little chilly and I began feeling a headache coming onπΏ.
So I was back indoors and after a warm cup of tea, I was okπΉ.
I did some house chores as the time went by.
Later in the day, the sun π was out and it was a lovely day. We went out by Borough market and also had a walk around London bridge.
We returned later on the afternoon and I hang around the house. Watched some news and checked out Twitter or is it XπΉ.
My last walk was the usual slow paced sunset π walk around the neighborhood just enjoying the cool breeze.
So that was my day, let's now look at some of the trending stories that caught my eye π.
Another deadly day in Gaza as Israel continued its intensified airstrikes across the regionπ. 22 Palestinians confirmed dead today, 15 of them from Rafa.
Israel says the war on Gaza likely to last another 7 monthsπΏ.
Over in Israel, thousands of people have gathered in anti govt protests. Demonstrators demanded the return of captives and even blocked a road in Tel Avivπ.
Trending in Africa, South Africans have been voting in general elections. The turn out has been reported as high. The ruling ANC party faces its toughest challenge in the elections in a period of 30 yearsπ.Let's wait for the results.
In France police have used teargas to disperse pro-Palestinian protesters.
The clashes came as protesters marched down the Rue de la Pepiniere in the northwest of the city.
Protesters had also taken to the streets of Paris yesterday in response to the recent Israeli attack on Rafah that killed civilians.
Trending in the UK, PM Rishi Sunak and Labour party leader Keir Starmer are to go one on one in a televised debate next Tuesday. Remember the election is coming on 4 July. Each of them trying to outline what he will do differently to make people's lives much better.
Across the pond in the US, the UN security council is to meet to discuss the ongoing airstrikes in Gaza.
Also trending, the jury has ended the first day of deliberations in the Trump hush money trial without a verdictπΉ. Let's wait.
Finally in crazy weather, new volcanic π eruptions near Iceland's town of Grindavik have happened throwing red hot lava over 50 metres into the airπ.
India is undergoing a serious heatwave. New Delhi recorded the highest temperature ever at 52.3Β°C or 126Β°F π. Damn it, hopefully the temps cool down with some rain to ease the heat.
That's quite a crazy summer, anyways lets do this all over again tomorrow on an amazing throwback Thursday.
Do keep enjoying your week, good night and good bye. Hakuna Matata π».
