Hello everyone π»,
Happy Caturday π and a very warm welcome to my report. The kitties are taking over the blockchain todayπ», do welcome them, as they claw their way inπΉ.
Anyways I have had a great day and once again, am here to break it all down including the trending stories.
Buckle up and let's get cracking π¨.
So this morning I didn't have my usual walk, choosing instead to do some stretching before embarking on some household chores.
Later in the day I followed up on the trending stories, watched some YouTube and some of the posts on X. There were also some interesting EPL games going on.
It has been nice and sunny π throughout the day, though the breeze is a little chilly.
I finally ventured out for the slow paced sunset π walk later in the day. I made a few rounds around the neighborhood ending up at the park π². Then headed back home calling it a day.
So that was the stepping, now let's get into the trending stories.
Lebanon still trending as Israeli airstrikes kept going in Beirut and southern border. The death toll is now at 2,023 killed, including 127 childrenπΏ.
In Beirut's Dahiyeh neighborhood, civilians asked to evacuate as Israel targets Hezbollah leaders. One such leader, Hashem Safieddin has not been heard from since Fridayπ.
The Friday airstrikes targeted him in Beirut. He is a cousin to slain leader Hassan Nasrallah and was supposed to replace him.
Not far off in Gaza, the blood bath continued with 25 Palestinians killed across the stripπΏ.
Meanwhile in Israel, thousands gathered in Tel Aviv demanding safe return of captives held in Gaza.
Speaking of demonstrations, thousands of pro Palestinian protesters marched in central London asking for an immediate ceasefire.
In Paris, France big protests also as people called for a ceasefire in Gaza. President Macron urging countries like US to stop sending arms to Israel.
In Berlin, Germany two types of protests, some rallied against antisemitism, a few of them waved Israeli flags. Then there were pro Palestinian protesters. Scuffles broke out between police and pro Palestinian protesters
Down in south Africa, thousands marched thru Cape Town against the war in Gaza.
Across the pond in the US, protesters at Times square in New York wore black n white keffiyeh scarfs chanting and demanding ceasefire in Gaza.
On October 7, it will be one year since the bombing of Gaza strip began. Most of the strip now reduced to a shell of rubbleπΏ.
Trump trending as he returns for a rally at the site of his assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvaniaπ.
The secret service must be under pressure and quite alert this timeπΉ.
Anyways, that's it from me, let's touch base again tomorrow on an amazing Sunday funday. Until then, it's good night π΄ and Adios β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π» π―.

Hey buddy, thanks for the report! I make sure to vote on them all, and read most, but I only comment here and there/ Don't think I'm not enjoying your writings and photos, though. : )
Yes, the Gaza thing is pretty intense (well now I guess we should call it the Israel thing, since it's clear it's about Israel and not Gaza, they were just the first victim). I was at my local farmers market (smalltown BC Canada) when I noticed a "end the occupation" info booth. I stopped and checked out their info, thanked them for spreading awareness, and they gave me a button. I'm surprised there aren't more things like that. Our tax resources are going to pay for it (and Ukraine). Our quality of life is literally lower (and noticeably so) because of these wars (aka genocide in Gaza). When it all stared, my wife and I contacted our local group of activists about starting a free Palestine protest... no replies at all... suddenly it was a wall of silence. I've noticed that a LOT of people (even otherwise awake people) are pro-Israel. They generally don't know why they are that way, but feel it's their duty or something. Others just don't want to be "anti Semitic". And so the genocide continues. Pretty rough to witness, don't you think? We have to try and stay positive, while also being aware of the grim reality and trying to do something about it.
Thank you for the continued support, I really appreciate this long and thoughtful comment. I know many people read the posts but mostly because of time they don't comment.
In the on going war, I blame both sides, the leaders to be exact. This is a war that should have ended ages ago through diplomacy. But the leaders from both sides are too pig-headed to even listen and agree. The results is death and suffering of innocent civilians.
What I know is that deaths are happening daily and it has to stop. Only the US and Netanyahu can stop it. It's already going to be one year from tomorrow since this Gaza bombing started. French President said Netanyahu should not be given weapons if innocent lives continue to be lost.
People were too shy to speak because of being labelled anti-Semitic but the number of deaths is getting out of hand. The suffering in Gaza is unimaginable, its like hell on earth.
Relatives of Israelis held in Gaza are fed up of Netanyahu, they are afraid their people will be killed in Gaza. They want him to negotiate with Hamas but he rather use bombs. Its been a year and captives are still being held, some of them have been killed. He believes he is doing the best for his people.
We could go on and on but most times I don't let issues that I can't control get the better of me. I will watch from a distance and report on them as they unfold. Meanwhile, I live my best life with what I can control.
This is an unfair world, we found it that way and will leave it that way. So while Palestinians die, the weapon manufacturers are laughing all the way to the bank as they look forward to Netanyahu's new purchases.
America is at a turning point, lets wait and see what the new president will do about this. Again thank you for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful new week ahead :}
It has been a long time, but thanks for the updates! I didn't realize that your stay in the UK was going to be so long... are you planning to return to Kenya, or is this now a permanent move?
Well, happy Caturday to you!
=^..^=
Oh wow @curatorcat. Unfortunately things didn't turn out as I had planned. Hopefully I will talk about it much later. But for now, I am desperately needed in the UK. Bob back in Kenya is well catered for, not to worry.
Am glad you stopped by and wish you a great new week ahead. Everything will be ok :}
