Hello everyone π»,
Happy Thursday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's been another ordinary day stepping it out and getting on with life.
As always thank you for reading, and without further ado let's get into how my day went including the trending stories.
So I woke up to a sunny π morning but that faded away quite fastπΉ. I did manage to walk around the park for about 30 minutes.
The chilly wind made me head back indoors quite fast. Compared to last week the temperatures around London have dipped.
Next I was indoors doing some of the usual daily chores. Then following up with some news and trending stories.
The afternoon saw me out again at the bus station heading to check on some documents. It was windy and a little bit of drizzling π§οΈ.
I was back indoors much later, rested for a while. Then as the evening set in, I decided to get out in the neighborhood for the sunset π walk.
No sunset π views though, heavily cloudy βοΈ with some drizzling as I made my way back.
So that has been my dull dayπΉ. Anyways lets liven things up with the trending stories of the day.
Let's begin in Europe where G7 leaders have been meeting in Italy.
President Biden has blamed Hamas for the ceasefire deal impasseπ.
Hamas are not sure of Israel's actions so they put in amendments to further secure the deal. Hopefully a consensus is reached soon. Meanwhile bombings are going on in Gaza with deaths reportedπ.
In the other war, the G7 leaders have agreed to give a loan of $50 billion dollars to Ukraine. For defending itself against Russia and also reconstruction of war damages.
President Zelensky was in attendance and definitely very appreciative for that gesture.
In the UK, election fever is on, labour party launched it's manifesto the other day. Both the Tories and Labour party will lose Muslim votes for their stance on Gazaπ.
Also trending in Europe, EU court has fined Budapest β¬216 million for ignoring EU rules on the rights of asylum seekers. The Hungarian govt has had a very tough stance on migrants and will only allow asylum applications from outside its bordersπ.
Across the pond in the US, the supreme court upheld access to an abortion pill. Anti abortion advocates had hoped for a different judgement πΏ.
Finally, football fever is gripping Germany as thousands of fans head there for the Euro 2024, that will play out for the next four weeks.
Germany kicks off with a match against Scotland tomorrow. May the best team winπ―.
One true fan has set a record by walking all the way from Scotland to Germany πΉ. I kid you not, google him.
Anyways, see you again tomorrow on a high five Friday. Good night π΄ and Adios β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»
