Hello everyone π»,
Happy Caturday π and a very warm welcome to my report. Its the weekend and the kitties are invading the blockchain once again, but in a good way πΉ. Let them have their way, it's their day to hang around....
Anyways, I have had a nice day and it's that time of day to slow down n get ready for bed. As always thank you for being here, let's do this π¨.
I began my day with the morning walk around the neighborhood. It was heavily cloudy βοΈ weather as I made my way. Then it turned drizzly too. No π ever.
Later, I was back indoors handling the usual house chores including cooking and laundry.
As the day progressed, I settled down to some you tube and Twitter following up on the days trending stories.
There were also some interesting matches going on in the EPL. Man City trending as they suffered their first home defeat in 52 gamesπΏ. Tottenham gave it to them goodπΉ.
Then finally, I was out for the sunset π walk this evening around 7pm. A dull dark cloudy evening was what I found as I made my way around the neighborhood and park π².
So that was my day, now lets look at what was trending.
Starting off in Gaza, the blood bath continued with 38 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes around the stripπΏ.
Hamas also reported that one Israeli captive had died in an airstrike in the northπΏ.
This prompted the usual protests in Tel Aviv asking their govt to do more to ensure safe release of the remaining captives. But Netanyahu not listening, he goes on with airstrikes, am fearing for the remaining captives.
Speaking of airstrikes, a really powerful strike in central Beirut brought down an eight storey residential buildingπ. It was felt across the city and since there were no prior warnings, 20 deaths and counting have been reportedπ.
A horrific scene as body parts were seen among the rubble of the collapsed buildingπΏ.
Authorities say no Hezbollah operatives were inside the building.
In the southern city of Tyre, two fisherman were killed by an Israeli droneπΏ.
In France, protests were held to renounce violence against women. This as a high profile rape case enters its final hearing.
In the UK, storm Bert brought snow, wind and rainπ§οΈ. I didn't see any snow in London but up north in Scotland snow fell.
Across the pond, Mexico trending as a number of migrants were seen making journeys trying to reach the US border, to seek asylum before Trump is sworn in next year.
Finally, cop29 latest draft proposes $300 billion a year to poorer nations to help deal with climate change.
Poorer countries were demanding for $ 1.3 trillion annually, so this falls short of what is needed.
They claim richer countries are not doing enough for the climate crisis they have caused.
Wealthy countries produced 83% of the carbon emissions responsible for climate change in 2023π.
So that's about it this Saturday, see you again tomorrow on an amazing Sunday funday.
Nothing much to add but bid you adieu β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π»π―
