Happy hump 🐪 day and a very warm welcome to my report. We are bang in the middle of the week and I have had just another ordinary day of stepping.
As usual I had my morning walk around the neighborhood. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning as i made my way. I think summer is finally here😹.
After close to thirty or so minutes, I was back indoors handling the daily chores. Later I settled down to some you tube videos and also caught up with the trending stories.
Throughout the day it's been warm and sunny. Quite a change from windy rainy ☔ days we have been having lately.
The evening was still bright as I made my way out for the sunset 🌄 walk. I walked around the neighborhood ending up at the park 🌲 and then back home calling it a day.
So that was pretty much my day, now let's quickly look at what was trending around the world 🌍.
In the UK, king Charles has officially opened parliament following age old tradition that spans many years back.
In his opening speech, the king laid out govt priorities under the new labour party administration.
Over in Gaza, the horror scenes continued with 27 deaths reported in last 24 hours😿. Israeli airstrikes have been targeting residential buildings in areas designated as safe zones.
Speaking of Israel, protests have been held in Tel Aviv against PM Netanyahu after he said that captives in Gaza were suffering but were not dying🙀.
Protesters calling for negotiations with Hamas to free their loved ones. They also want Netanyahu to resign and call for elections.
Across the pond in the US, political shenanigans 😹 as top democrat Adam Schiff calls on Biden to drop out of 2024 presidential race 🙀.
Biden still defiant is in Las Vegas Nevada wooing Latino voters.
Also tending; Biden has tested positive for covid and is suffering mild symptoms, the White House has said.
Karine Jean-Pierre, his press secretary, said the US president is vaccinated and boosted. He has tested positive for covid twice before.
Mr Biden, 81, was seen earlier on Wednesday visiting supporters in Las Vegas and speaking at an event. He has cancelled a campaign speech later in the night.
Meanwhile, Trump and his named running mate will be attending day three of republican national convention in Milwaukee.
Finally, let's end on a sporty note. It's nine days to the Olympics in France. The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo has swarm in river Seine to demonstrate that it's safe for athletes🎉.
It has taken over $1 billion and close to ten years to get the river as clean as possible🙀. I can't wait to watch the events around there in a few days.
