Hello everyone π»,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my report. It's the day of gratitude and appreciating all of the blessings in our lives π―. No matter how bad things are there's always that glimmer of hope that the best is yet to comeπ―.
Anyways I have had a great day and it's now that time of day to breakdown how it went including the stories that caught my eye π. Let's get things rolling right away π¨.
So I didn't have a morning walk instead a little bit of stretching then I got on with the usual house chores including cooking and laundry.
It was quite cloudy βοΈ in the morning but the sun π shone through at around midday.
That's when I set out to visit some family friends on the other side of the city.
Then I got back home just before sunset π and followed up on some of the trending stories. I also did watch some Olympics action. It's nice that the track races have began πΉ.
So that was my day and now let's look at what has been happening around the world π.
In the UK, the worst rioting in 13 years has been taking place across several citiesπ. The far rights groups have been triggered by the murder of three young girls.
The PM has warned far right protesters and condemned their violent thuggery. They will definitely be arrests after all the destruction and chaosπ―. More than 100 have been arrested so far.
Speaking of riots, Bangladesh protesters were back to the streets in protests that have so far claimed over 200 livesπΏ.
They want sheikh hasina and her entire govt to resign.
Then another blood bath in Gaza as Israeli airstrikes flattened two more schools sheltering thousands of displaced PalestiniansπΏ.
Over 30 people were killed while many more are alive but trapped under the rubbleπΏ.
Not far off, Hezbollah has attacked northern Israel as PM Netanyahu met his security cabinet.
Israel is on a heightened alert as it waits for an expected retaliation from Iran and Hezbollahπ.
Many western countries including the US have urged their citizens in Lebanon to leave immediatelyπ.
Speaking of the US, a new poll shows Trump and Harris are neck to neckπΉ.
The CBS news yougov poll has VP Kamala Harris ahead by a percentage point nationally. However both candidates are level in battleground states.
Let's finish off with some action from the Olympics. Novak Djokovic trending as he beat Carlos Alcatraz to win his first Olympic gold medal π
. Adding to his 24 grand slam record.
In the 100m men's final Noah Lyles clinched the gold π
for team USA. Congratulations π to all who won medals however these two are the ones trending.
Tomorrow we look forward to even more races.
So that's about it, see you tomorrow on an awesome Monday. Until then it's good night π΄ and Adios β€οΈ. Hakuna Matata π» π―.
