Happy hump 🐪 day and a very warm welcome to my report. We are bang in the middle of the week and it's Christmas day😹.
Merry Christmas to all who were celebrating🎄☃️🎊🎉
I have had a great day and am about to share it including the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.
Definitely thank you for stopping by and let's get into it 💨.
So I started the day with the usual morning walk around the neighborhood. It was largely ☁️ cloudy and chilly. No signs of the sun🌞whatsoever.
I didn't last long outside and after about 15 minutes, I was back indoors for the usual house chores including cooking.
Later, I settled down to some you tube, x and trending news from around the world.
My final walk was the sunset 🌄 walk this time around the city centre taking pictures of Xmas decorations.
So now let's look at what trended globally.
In Gaza, the mass murder kept going with 30 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes across the strip😿.
UN is warning of a looming famine as Israel continues blocking aid from reaching Palestinians.
Further warning that upto 15 people per day could die of starvation in the coming weeks🙀.
In Israel, mothers and daughters of captives held in Gaza held a protests calling on the govt to reach a deal to release their loved ones.
In Syria, protests were held in some cities after a video emerged showing an Alawite shrine being attacked🙀.
It turns out it was an old video. Syrian foreign minister blames Iran for it and has asked Iran to respect Syria's sovereignty and security.
Then Kazakhstan trending as a plane crash killed 38 people😿, fortunately about 28 people survived the crash.
Also trending, Pope Francis has called for silencing of weapons in both Gaza and Ukraine. This during his Xmas day address.
Speaking of Ukraine, Russia unleashed a barrage of missiles targeting Ukraine's power grid and water systems🙀.
Sirens rang out and people went underground for shelter.
In the UK, King Charles has praised health workers and called for unity after riots. His Xmas day message follows a year that saw him and the princess of Wales treated for cancer😿.
In Africa, Mozambique trending as ongoing election protests, saw 1,500 prisoners escape jail🙀. There was a fight and riot in the prison that left 33 killed even as others escaped.
The opposition leader has called for even more protests🙀.
