TGIF 🎊, happy new year🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. I trust your day is going well 💯, mine has been awesome and it's now that time of day to slow down and fill you in on how it went including the trending stories that caught my eye 👀.

So I began my day with a quick walk around the neighborhood. Another cloudy chilly morning but I was dressed appropriately.
Then I was back indoors after about 30 minutes of walking ending up at the grocery.
I set out to do some house chores before settling down to some you tube videos and checking on trending stories on x.
There was no sunshine 🌞 during the day and by 4pm it was dark😹. Today there's visible ice on the grass
The evening saw me out for my final walk around the park before heading back indoors
So now let's quickly take a look at what has been trending.
In Gaza the bloodshed continued with 18 deaths reported across the strip😿. The Lancet Journal estimates the death toll in the first nine months of war is 41% higher than recorded.
Not far off, Yemen trending as Israeli airstrikes hit houthi infrastructure including ports and a power station🙀.
In Europe, Moldova trending as Russia abruptly shut off gas supplies in the middle of winter❄️leaving tens of thousands without power😿. Russia accused of weaponizing gas.
Across the pond, Trump has avoided prison or fine in the hush money case sentencing. The judge unconditionally discharged Trump for virtue of being president elect. In the court room the prosecutor was seen looking sad and tired😹.
Still in the US, a night time curfew is imposed in fire 🔥 hit areas of Los Angeles as police warned of despicable looting🙀.
The curfew is in place from 6pm to 6am and over 20 people have been arrested for taking advantage of fire to loot private homes.
More than 10,000 homes burnt as entire neighborhoods destroyed, 10 deaths reported with many people still missing😿.

More crazy weather as dense fog in India's New Delhi disrupted flights and train 🚆 services🙀.
