Hello everyoneπ»,
Happy Sunday π and a very warm welcome to my report. As usual it's a day of gratitude and appreciating the good in our lives π―. In this crazy world if you are healthy, have a roof over your head, food and peace then you have it allπΉ.
Anyways, thank you for reading and let's dive right in π¨.
So as always, I began my day with a short morning walk around the neighborhood.
Waking up to the sun π outside is quite a motivation and I was out and about for close to thirty minutes. It was quite warm no chilly morning breeze, summer has beganπΉ.
Next I was back indoors handling the usual house chores and catching up with the trending stories from around the globe.
The evening saw me go out towards Westminster, a short bus ride to go check out the London eye and parliament buildings.
I had a walk around the bridge on both sides, taking pictures as I made my way around. Lots of tourists visit this area especially in the warm weather.
I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
Next let's look at what has been happening around the world π.
In the UK, Manchester airport had power problems. The airport boss was sorry for difficult day after power cut chaos and cancellationsπ.
Paris saw protests against the far right party, many were shocked when president Macron called for snap elections that are coming next Sunday on 30th June.
Still in Paris, pro Palestinian protesters marched demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
There are also calls to bar Israel from the upcoming Olympic games due to the war in Gazaπ.
Speaking of Gaza, Israeli airstrikes kept going. UNRWA headquarters in Gaza city was targeted, aid supplies damaged and 4 Palestinians killedπΏ.
Meanwhile in Israel, PM Netanyahu has said the attacks in Rafa will be over soon, giving no dates but insisting it won't be the end of the warπ. It's just to pave way for more Israeli troops to be transferred north in readiness for a fight against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Then the Russian region of Dagestan trending as 9 people including 7 police officers and a priest killed as gun men opened fire in simultaneous attacks targeting a church and synagogueπ.
More fighting reported between Ukraine and Russia. Blasts were heard around Kyiv as the defense system intercepted some of the bombs.
Meanwhile, Ukraine used a cluster bomb to target Russian held territory of Crimeaπ.
Let's finish with the action at the Euro 2024. Hungary scored in the 100th minute to knock Scotland out of the gamesπΏ. They had played an entire 90 minutes to a scoreless match. That last minute of the additional ten minutes gave Hungary a go at the last 16.
Poor ScotlandπΏ, next time they have to come harder.
In the other match Switzerland were about to win Germany one nil, but the Germans in stoppage time got a goal to equalize the scoreπΉ.
Both Switzerland and Germany are proceeding, so congratulations π to both of them and Hungary tooπ.
More exciting matches are on the way, as more teams are set to be knocked out.
So that's about it for today, wishing everyone a wonderful new week ahead as we look to end June.
An awesome Monday awaits, take care, toodles β€οΈ.
