So hot in Osaka! 35°C!!

I am surprised at how hot it is in July in Japan. I am unsure if it is because of global warming during my five years in Stockholm or if it has always been hot, but I used to be used to this kind of heat. The temperature is around 35 degrees Celsius, and even at night, it is not lower than 25 degrees Celsius. And without an air conditioner, I get heat stroke and feel lightheaded and tired. So, I turn on the air conditioner when I get home to adjust the indoor temperature.

日本の７月がこんなに暑いとは、びっくりしています。 5年間、ストックホルムにすんでいた間に温暖化が進んだのか、それとも昔から暑いけど、昔はこの暑さに慣れていたのかは定かではないけど本当に暑いです。気温は35度を前後して、夜でも25度を下回らず本当にクーラーがないと熱中症になって頭がぼーっとして倦怠感が抜けません。だからもう、家に帰ってきたら直ぐにクーラーをつけて室内の温度調整をします。

Discover a lovely local cafe

In Stockholm, I often went to cafes to read books, relax, and enjoy my time. In Japan, there is a Japanese coffee shop culture, which I like very much, but it is not an atmosphere where you can relax alone and read a book or relax without anyone talking to you. In Japanese coffee shops, the manager and customers are very close, and they speak to each other and talk about various things. That is fine, but there is no atmosphere where you can relax and read a book alone without being disturbed by anyone. So, I was looking for various local cafes and found a very nice one. I was surprised to see such a stylish cafe in my hometown. It is a café you would not find in shitamachi's working-class neighborhood in Osaka, but it has a lovely atmosphere. The coffee is made to order, ground from freshly roasted beans, and the atmosphere is charming. They roast coffee beans inside the cafe, and I plan to buy my current beans here when I finish. I became a fan.

ストックホルムではよくカフェに行って本を読んだり、リラックスしたりと自分の時間を楽しんでいました。でも、日本には日本の喫茶文化があってそれはそれでとても好きだけど、一人でゆっくりと誰にも話しかけられず本を読んだりリラックスしたりする雰囲気ではありません。日本の喫茶店は店長とお客さんの距離が近く、色々と話しかけられたり話したりします。それはそれでいいけど、ゆっくりと一人で誰にも邪魔されず本を読むといった雰囲気はありません。そこで、色々と地元のカフェを探していると、とてもいい感じのカフェを見つけることが出来ました。地元にこんなおしゃれなカフェがあるなんて、少しびっくりしています。それほど、下町の大阪にはににつかないカフェです。でも、本当にいい雰囲気で、注文してから豆を挽いてそれから煎れてくれるコーヒーは格別です。カフェの中でもコーヒー豆を焙煎している様で、いま飲んでいる豆が終わるとここで買う予定です。本当にファンになりました。
