Foodscaping- The Old New Normal - July 12 2023

I agree - 100% - with the spirit and ethic of the post (we grow 80% of our own veggies at moment).

We have been coerced to accept low nutrient,
high gloss produce as a cheap(er) method to feed our families and stay healthy.

I disagree with this sentiment.
We have not been coerced- we have been given the option of working yourself for the produce, or take the easy, convenient option of having it all supplied without the hassle.
We have free will and 'we'chose the easy, convenient options over the more ethically sound option.

The reason I point this out is that it is this 'slave morality' perspective - always blaming someone (or something) else, rather than taking responsibility for our own actions,.
This is foundational of many of our societal problems.

My two recent posts don't really cover this too much - but my upcoming posts most certainly will !

Culture (everyone getting out there and gardening) is downstream of mindsets.
'Slave morality' mindsets are not conducive to taking independent actions without any sanction/approval from some perceived 'authority'.

Good post !
