Yesterday went to nearby greenhouse in Bobbas Village 35 kms away from Jaipur to understand the cost vs returns. Bobbas is call Mini Israel of India as there are more than 500 polyhouses and greenhouses in this village.

Below is the ROI study that was done:

50 tonnes produce in 1.5 acre
22rs/kilo for Zucchini
Cost of setup - 18 Lakhs after subsidy
Total Yield before costs- 25 Lakhs
Total Yield after Costs- 15 Lakhs
ROI - 1 to 1.5 Years based on season

Converting the numbers in $

Cost of setup -22500$
Returns in a Year after costs- 18700$

Not a bad investment idea.
