Being 9/11 here is some New York music.
Before there was punk there was glam. Besides the famous David Bowie and Sweet in the UK we had the New York Dolls in NYC. They kind of opened doors for the punks such as the Ramones, Blondie and the Dead Boys in NYC. They all played in and around CBGB in the mid 70s. The Dolls also paved the way for other NYC rockers KISS.
Here is David Johansen and the New York Dolls singing Trash on a TV rock concert show. It sounds pretty punk. But he also shows where the roots were when he starts quoting Mickey and Sylvia's 50s guitar hit Love Is Strange.
Some years Later...
David turns himself into Buster Poindexter as the Dolls are no longer a band. Now he's rocking a Latin beat and having a fun dance hit with Hit Hit Hot!
MY ACTIVITY
was dancing to these songs and swimming at the pool. It is still hot hot hot here!
Later I took a short walk. Not a lot of steps but a Lot of activity!
Have a nice day!
