Yesterday I logged 7,927 steps on @actifit, a little more than 2,000 steps short of my daily 10K step goal. It was a good day with nice warm weather for the middle of November, reaching about 60 degrees mid day. I took the opportunity to remove the Queen Excluder on my Bee Hive. This will ensure the Queen can stay with the cluster if the colony moves up to the supers during winter. If the excluder is in place, she would be left behind to freeze. The maneuver went well, and the bee population looked great. In the afternoon I took the chickens out for the first time ever. Above is a photo of one chicken experiencing outdoors for the first time ever. It’s always funny to see their reaction. These little Black Copper Marans are growing up quick!
