Restful Friday: My weekend
My Friday started with performing the Fajr prayer in the mosque. The weather was pretty cold with a strong cold wind. I had light winter clothes with me. Later, I decided to go for a morning walk. Due to the uncomfortable weather, I cut short the walk and returned home.
At home, I recited Surah Al-Kahf for a while. Then I talked with my mother. Afterwards, I went to clear the car. But, due to the strong cold wind, I returned home. By that time, I started having a headache, most like due to exposure to the sudden cold weather.
After having my breakfast, I did some house chores like swiping and mopping the floor, putting the clothes in the washing machines, etc. At 9 am, due to the headache, I decided to have a sleep. I slept for almost 2 hours and I woke up at 11 am!
Then, I prepared for the Jummah prayer. I went to the mosque at 11:45 am and upon completion of the prayer when I returned home, it was past 1 pm. After having lunch, I worked on the laptop for a while and published today's #larryisalive post.
Later, my son and I went to clean the car. It was a sunny day but the wind was still cold. We spent over half an hour there. In the afternoon, we also went to the rooftop to feed the pigeons.
In the evening, I was at home. I played with my son and ironed the clothes as well. For dinner, we bought a fast-food item from a nearby coffee shop.
Okay. That's all for today. It was a pretty restful weekend for me. We didn't go out this Friday. All day at home! I am alive, healthy, and thriving, Alhamdulillah. How about you?
