Hello, again. Assalamu Alaikum! Greetings! How are you? I hope that you are fine. I am fine too, Alhamdulillah. Here is the actifit report number 915. It is also the Alive and Thriving report on the 28th of May, 2023.
It is a difficult time for the parents when their child becomes sick. Impatience takes over them. They don't want "the natural course of a disease " to take place for their kid; even for simple illnesses like cold, cough and fever.
A few days ago two Pakistani parents came with their small kid. They had paracetamol and ibuprofen syrup along with a broad-spectrum antibiotic syrup with them, given by another clinic. The kid was taking all the medicines but still, high-grade fever kept returning. It was on the second day of his illness.
In the initial stages, it is quite common to have a high-grade fever. And, for a viral fever, it is more common. Besides paracetamol and ibuprofen (it is sometimes not considered safe without doing a blood test), sponging with water is the way to reduce the severity of the fever. For a child, a suppository can be used if oral syrup does not work. The parents need to follow these steps in a period of high fever and patience is required.
That Pakistani mother was more impatient than the father. Rather it appeared to me that he kinda disagreed to go to another doctor as they had all the medicines at home. The mother insisted.
I had nothing much to do. I counselled the mother and adjusted the time and doses of the medicines. They left. Don't know if they went to another clinic or not!!
On Sunday, I consulted 35 patients in my chamber. Due to some technical issues in the government office, on Saturday no people came for the visa medical check-up.
Regarding physical activities, I walked on the treadmill for a little over 20 minutes after lunch. Altogether, I was able to make 10k plus steps.
A few photographs I am going to share below that were captured a few months ago. These were taken on the premises of 60 domes mosque (Shait Gumbad mosque) in Bagerhat, Khulna, Bangladesh.
The tree beside the mosque
One of the posters mentions the history of this mosque
Another one mentions the structures
It is one of the UNESCO World heritage sites in Bangladesh
Okay. It is all for now. I am alive, healthy and thriving, Alhamdulillah. How about you?
