For those of you who love food and love to eat pasta, spaghetti carbonara or any pasta carbonara is usually in the top 3 favorite pasta dishes. The thing is that the original Italian recipe does not include any cream in it; actually, it's like committing a crime if an Italian cook sees you using cream in a carbonara recipe.
Instead of cream or cream cheese to get the sauce, you have to use eggs and some grated hard cheese, usually pecorino or parmesan, almost any hard cheese, but I always had this dish being made with sour cream included, or at least some mascarpone or spread cheese mixed in with the eggs.
The meat that will be used has to be some meat that gives out a lot of flavor, usually some cured pork meat which has a good amount of fat as well (or just any kind of bacon will do), most of the flavor is in the fat.
It's up to you if you want to use some garlic or some chopped greens like parsley to improve the flavor, black pepper helps a lot. Otherwise, it's a darn simple and quick recipe that doesn't even need special instructions; boil the pasta to your liking, fry your bacon, mix it with the pasta, then add the sauce mixture and stir. Switch off the "fire" under your pot or pan when you add the egg mixture otherwise you stand a big chance to cook spata with scrambled eggs instead of spaghetti carbonara. :))

Hey, didnt know you are here too ... hopping over to where comments dont cost something ;-)
Why not! 😜 And, I might be in other places as well, small world :))
Ooohhhh. It seems a good preparation. Enjoy the meal!
Hehe, you should know better than me! :))
I see several examples of this plate, maybe yes. Perhaps you don't trust me, but I am not an expert. I am not a fan of the uncooked egg, so I usually avoid this dish. But the views on your preparation seem a tasty example :D
I think you understand the recipe wrong, the egg does not remain raw, the egg gets cooked when you mix it with the hot pasta, some people keep the pan on the fire when mixing the egg with the pasta, but not too much so not to overcook it because then it becomes like an omelet.
