++ 18700 Schritte ++ Gruft mit Aussicht ++
Hallo Freunde,
da hat mich die Vorsehung zur richtigen Stelle getrieben, als ich todkrank mit 37,08 Grad Celsius Fieber durch die Straßen von Lobo taumelte. Irgendwann stand ich auf einem erhöhten, fast schon Aussichtspunkt und wollte meinen wahrscheinlich letzten Sonnenuntergang genießen, bis mich die tödliche Männergrippe hinwegrafft.
Erst dann wurde mir gewahr, wo ich bin, auf dem öffentlichen Friedhof der Stadt.
Eigentlich wollte ich nicht schnell ein Grundstück hier kaufen, aber so groß sind diese Bauplätze auf dem Friedhof ja nicht, jedenfalls nicht, wenn man nicht für die ganze Familie baut.
Das scheinen hier aber viele zu machen. Und wenn ich mir die Größe und Ausstattung vieler Wohnhäuser hier in Erinnerung rufe, lebt es sich als Toter in der eigenen Gruft hier viel freier. Man hat mehr Platz für sich und ist auch wirklich sicher.
Denn zuerst wird man verbrannt, dann wird man eingemauert oder einbetoniert und anschließend wird ein Mausoleum oder Drumherum gebaut. Manchmal sicher auch in anderer Reihenfolge. So habe ich so eine Reihenmausoleumssiedlung gesehen, große Bauten mit Dachterrasse, viele Sarkophage, die mit edlem Steinzeug verkleidet sind, manche davon unter freiem Himmel, andere in ihren ebenso luxuriösen Mausoleum.
Und ein paar begnügen sich mit einem Miniaturhäuschen auf der Wiese.
Und auf dem Schuttberg aus abgerissenen Gräbern habe ich sogar eine Kloschüssel mit Spülkasten gesehen. Ob die vorher in einem dieser Gräber installiert war oder die sich nur am falschen Platz zur Ruhe gelegt hat, weiß ich auch nicht
Wieso es diese Eigentümlichkeit des Einbetonierens bzw. Einmauerns gibt, obwohl man sowieso verbrannt wird, erschließt sich mir zwar nicht, aber diese Klötze haben etwas.
Zum einen machen sie klar, dass man sehr lange tot ist, zum anderen wuchert das Grab nicht so schnell zu.
Das ist das Zweite, worüber ich mich gewundert habe. Ob doch viele dieser Grabstellen relativ teuer sind, wird der Friedhof selbst gar nicht gepflegt. Entweder ist der Platz wirklich kostenlos, sodass man niemand mit der Pflege beauftragen und bezahlen kann, oder das gehört eben dazu.
Nachdem ich all dies durchdacht habe, wurde mir bewusst, dass es nichts für mich ich, weil ich mich bereits auf eine andere Beerdigungsart festgelegt habe.
Also ging ich nach Hause.

there the providence drove me to the correct place, as I staggered deathly ill with 37.08 degrees Celsius fever by the streets of Lobo. At one point I was standing on an elevated, almost vantage point, about to enjoy what would probably be my last sunset until the deadly man flu swept me away.
Only then did I realize where I was, in the city's public cemetery.
Actually, I didn't want to quickly buy a plot here, but these building lots in the cemetery aren't that big, at least not if you're not building for the whole family.
But that's what many people seem to do here. And if I remember the size and equipment of many houses here, it is much freer to live as a dead person in your own tomb here. One has more space for oneself and is also really safe.
Because first one is cremated, then one is walled in or concreted in and afterwards a mausoleum or drum is built. Sometimes certainly in a different order. So I have seen such a row mausoleum settlement, large buildings with roof terrace, many sarcophagi covered with noble stoneware, some of them in the open air, others in their equally luxurious mausoleum.
And a few are content with a miniature cottage on the lawn.
And on the rubble mountain of demolished tombs I even saw a toilet bowl with a cistern. Whether it was previously installed in one of these graves or it just laid down to rest in the wrong place, I don't know.
Why there is this peculiarity of concreting or walling in, although one is burned anyway, is not clear to me, but these blocks have something.
On the one hand they make clear that one is dead for a very long time, on the other hand the grave does not overgrow so fast.
That is the second thing I wondered about. Whether nevertheless many of these grave places are relatively expensive, the cemetery itself is not maintained at all. Either the place is really free, so you can't hire and pay someone to take care of it, or that's just part of the process.
After thinking all of this through, I realized that it's not for me me because I've already committed to another type of burial.
So I went home.
