The first rest day in the plan I started on the indoor cycling platform MyWhoosh. In case you missed it, I started with one targeted plan that only lasts four weeks. In those four weeks, it should improve my ability to ride long and difficult climbs.
For now, it seems to me that progress is evident. As usual, I don't see it so much on my heart rate, as the subjective feeling of the ride is much lighter.
Anyway, the first day of vacation has arrived. The plan literally says: Rest day or Easy ride. Since I'm planning a beer evening with the team for the next day, I know I won't have time for that ride, so I decided to still ride for the rest day. In order not to have dead kilometers, I inserted a few light sprints in Zone 5 and Zone 6 into the ride, enough to make this training still have some impact, as well as to break up the monotony of an hour-long endurance Zone 2 ride.
The ride went by quickly, I listened to some old music while pedaling, and as you can see from the print screens - it had an impact. The aerobic score of 3.9 is surprisingly high, I don't seem to have calculated much in this run, although I think the last ten minutes are crucial as I rode them as a sprint at the end of the race. It was expected that the anaerobic score would be in the maintenance zone, which turned out to be a score of 2.3
All in all, so far I am very satisfied and extremely motivated. I intend to eventually post a detailed breakdown of how much my fitness score has benefited from these four weeks.
