The decision has been made! Although the open world of the MyWhoosh cycling training platform is very interesting, I decided it was time for the first serious training plan.
This decision comes from the fact that I made the most progress in previous years when I followed the Sufferfest plan rigorously, like a religious rapture, one winter. Then my FTP increased by a staggering 80W in just a couple of months.
This time I don't expect such progress, but I do expect significant improvements, primarily in strength and endurance.
After a lot of dilemmas, I finally chose a plan that should improve what I currently seem to be the worst at - riding long climbs. There are a few other areas where I'm not the best, for example endurance, but knowing that endurance training will turn into hours of torture on the trainer, I chose climbing.
On the first day, I had an hour's free driving time, so I rode one of the trails in Bogotá - the Coffee trail. But the very next day comes a low-cadence ride, which means I can't wait until it's over. Fortunately, it lasts 'only' an hour.
This plan lasts for four weeks and I intend to do all the FTP tests (yeah, I'm very happy) to properly track the progress. We are going to new kilometers and... to new meters! Wind at your back and shut up legs!!!
