I’m happy to say that I’ve become a published poet. For the first time ever, a magazine accepted two of my submissions, and only a day after I submitted them. I think that kind of turn around is pretty unheard of in the world of writing.
Today, coincidentally, I took my kids on a little trekking adventure to find the home of Ryokan, a Japanese haiku poet who lived on the other side of this bridge about 250 years ago.
Unfortunately, after crossing the bridge, we took a wrong turn and never found Ryokan’s old hut. Maybe we’ll have better luck next time.
At least I got my steps in.
