Spring is knocking on the door, and the magnolia blossomed.
It was yesterday. The day was pretty hot and mostly sunny. While the others were happily walking around, we were running from one office to another, from one public institution to another, from one notary public to another.
Yeah, for just one simple and more or less ordinary legal action, we had to collect all sorts of documents like certificates of citizenship, certificates of residence, and birth certificates *(even two types of the same thing), verify all of it at the public notary, and then send or bring all of it to an entirely different institution. In short, we spent four hours in that running chase for papers just to be able to do one of the most common things.
The others around us were easily and calmly walking around the city streets, or at least it seemed so to us.
I was especially jealous of all of those easy-walking passersby when I was running back home just to compose, type, and print some form of a special power of attorney that the notary wasn't capable of doing (although it's their job and should know how to form it), and then running back with it to verify it at that same (lazy and stupid) public notary. But as I said, the bureaucrats don't change. The spring vividness doesn't affect them. They stay the same!
However, on our way back home, after we managed to finish everything, we could finally feel that atmosphere of liveliness in the air that spring always brings. Blooming flowers in Zrinjevac Park added to that feeling even more.
But the magnolia tree was the best!
