Phew, what a scorcher. It's lovely hot weather today with no clouds in the sky.
It's also the last day of term, so this morning, I had a depleted number of kids on the bus. I know that two of them had skived off and gone on holiday early, and I suspect that at least 2 of the other missing kids had done the same.
After taking the kids to school, I didn't have much time today before I had to take them home again as the school was shutting early. I therefore only went for a shortcealk today through my local park and home via the shops.i decided I needed a bottle of wine this evening to celebrate the end of term.
The bus was obviously red hot when I picked the kids up from school, so, as a way of a little celebration, I treated them all to an ice lolly on the way home. There were only 6 of them, so it wasn't too expensive.
