As I didn't do very much exercise yesterday, I thought I'd better make amends and put a bit of extra effort in today. When I got up, it was already very sunny and warming up quickly, so I left the house as soon as I could.
I ran a very hilly 22km, which took 2 hours and 15 minutes. It took in the villages of Saltford, Burnett, Compton Dando, Queen Charlton, and Chewton Keynsham before I headed back towards Saltford to do an extra loop to make sure I did a little more than half marathon distance.
I was feeling quite tired by the time I arrived home and I had run out of water but I'm very pleased that I was still able to run so far.
The rest of the day was spent recovering, and I'm now just about to sit on the sofa to watch highlights from today's tour de france followed by the final of the Euros.
Thank you for reading, and I'll be back.
