Wednesday is one of my rest days from running, so after my first shift at work, I only went for a fairly short walk around the neighbourhood.
My route started through the local copse that led to the park. As you can see in my pictures, the wild garlic is in full bloom at the moment and carpets the ground under the trees. What you can't get from the pictures, though, is the gorgeous smell of the plants that permeates the entire area.
A couple of miles later, the smell was entirely different, and I thought for a moment that I would have to call the emergency services. Luckily, the property owner was there, and she assured me that it was all under control.
