As you can see from my pictures of Warmley Station, the weather was much better this morning, so I had no excuse not to go for my run.
My plan for running today was to do an interval session. I think that conventional wisdom suggests that you should be fully rested before doing interval sessions, but even though I was feeling tired from runs earlier this week, I decided to go ahead.
After a nice slow, 4km warm-up, I arrived at Warmley Station, where I joined the Bath / Bristol cycle path.
I managed to complete 4 x 1km efforts at about my 5km race pace, each one followed by a 3 minute walking recovery. Each effort was a bit slower than the previous one - definitely a sign I was tired before starting.
That was followed by an extremely slow, 4km cool down jog to get home.
Thank you for reading, and I'll be back tomorrow.
