Another ordinary day with mediocre weather. More of yesterday's pleasant mid-ness. I decided to bring my macro lens clip along on my afternoon walk once again. And here's what I brought home:
It's not a bee, it's a fly. They look a bit like bees but they are certainly not. There's this common misconception that bees do like 90ish percent of pollination, and how all the plants wouldn't be able to procreate without the bees.
Not actually true. There's a plentitude of other insects that do pollination, too. Like flies, butterflies, bumblebees, even some moths.
But let's face it, the same dangers that are threatening the bee population, are threatening all the other insects, too. Those bloody humans and their damned pesticides.
So go forth my little flies, drink that nectar and procreate! The flowers, they need you!
Thanks for your time!
