how powerful is cue within our environment is in shaping our behaviour ?
the author in the early chapters threw some light on this but delved into it completely in this part of the book.

in his own words , the environment we live in consist of several cues , this come in the form of objects , smells and even sounds , all these influence our behavior in a way considered to be subtle.
These cues are what drive our behavior and not the subconscious mind.
More lights will be thrown on this in the subsequent parts.
