Manchester United has decided not to renovate the existing stadium in favour of constructing a brand-new, £2 billion stadium. They intend to reveal the new stadium, which will be finished by 2030 and have a capacity of 100,000, in December.
Some venues that has undergone an extensive research in the past has been visited by the team for fact findings, this includes The Bernabeu and Nou Camp in Spain.
A lot of attention has also been paid by officials to the regeneration of the surrounding region of the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, where United played Arsenal. The stadium was finished in 2020 and was a part of the £4 billion "Hollywood Complex," which revitalized a significant portion of Inglewood. All of it was financed by Stan Kroenke, the owner of Arsenal, and the 70,000-seat arena will host six World Cup matches in 2026, including the first match of the tournament.
