I am alive and grateful to my Creator and Sustainer. Every day, I come to know about the sufferings of other people and patients which make me more humble and grateful to the Almighty. I am going to share one such reminder!
Yesterday, when I was taking the PCR sample, one Indian guy came into the PCR collection room with a bag in his hand. I thought that he might have some goods on him in the bag. I didn't pay attention to it. He put the bag on the chair to where he supposed to sit, instead of putting it on the floor. He just sat on the edge of the chair. When I told him to incline back, he pointed to the bag. Then I noticed that it was nothing but a urine bag connected to a urinary catheter. The catheter was connected to his body.
I asked him and he then told his story in short. Around 20 days earlier, while he was working, he fell from a height and got a direct hit/injury to his private part and the surrounding areas (inner thighs, penis, scrotum). Following the injury, he was unable to pass urine except for the passage of blood mixed urine. So that the doctor inserted a suprapubic urinary catheter as an alternative route ( A hole is made at the lower abdomen and one end of the catheter is placed in the urinary bladder). Now he is carrying the bag with him wherever he is going.
Again, I am alive, healthy, able to pass urine normally! Alhamdulillah. All praises to be for God.
How about you?
I feel sad to people who are suffering for their health. Alhamdulillad I am also thankful for what God given to me.
