Depends what you like. The beach heading south, when the beach turns into a wall of rocks, was largely undeveloped at the time. I lived in a house, set back from the beach, prob Dongtan rather than Jomtien itself, tho they join up as one. Was kinda peaceful at the time. lol.
Pay a big premium for a "sea view", so depends if that's important.

Weekend Visit to Jomtien City and Beach.
@ajerkoff lived there too (not with me!) and maybe more recently. I think he also lived in-land - for me, the living space was more important than being able to see the sea.
I just added a comment as to where I stopped or a few of the places, I also stopped just behind Jomtien in a village just over on the dark side over sukumvit road in a house for a year.
OK, if he has wheels that makes it more flexible.
The other thing I recall is to find out where the owner lives (if renting) - not that you really wanna go round there... but you might have to!
One place I rented in Jomtien near the tower, apartment block called Kian Talay I rented off my female hair dresser, not hard to find her, she cut my hair every 2 weeks :-)
Thank you @ajerkoff and @blurtyield for your input on this I decided on a condo down near Dongtan beach area it seemed quieter and only 300 meters from the beach also close to shopping area like FoodMart.
yeah and you can head in either direction. I was around there but really can't recall the names of places! lol.
I will be there soon it will be interesting and exciting I need that change :)
You're actually relocating from BKK? Not a 2nd home?
