Photo-hunting is an exciting adventure that can end quickly, or maybe have an interesting and unforgettable continuation.
You may remember the photograph of a rocky cliff.
It was here that my epic and votsession with the beautiful butterfly Iphiclides podalirius ended.
Saying goodbye to the butterfly, I hid the camera in my bag and headed towards my car, which was standing on the side of the road next to the flowering hill on which my adventures began.
I was about to leave this place, but turned around.
The green bushes were silent. It was the intermission before the new show.
Something red caught my attention.
It was a large dragonfly, which was sitting on a dry stalk a dozen paces away from me.
I could have brought the dragonfly closer with the camera's zoom, but I chose a different path.
I wanted to get quality photos and decided to take a chance.
I began to slowly approach the dragonfly, taking one photograph after each step.
Gradually, I came close to the dragonfly, which was looking out for its prey.
At that moment, I touched the dragonfly's wings with the glass of my camera lens. You can see my shadow.
This dragonfly looked like a medieval knight, imprisoned in armored armor.
It was about five kilometers to the nearest body of water, and I assumed that this species of dragonfly is called Sympetrum fonscolombii, since they like to live in hilly meadows.
For our places, this is a very rare species of dragonflies and, neither earlier nor later, I have not met such a dragonfly.
Imagine how hard my heart was beating and what an adrenaline rush I got at that moment lol.
It was an unforgettable event, about which I really want to talk, tell and, again. narrate.
But, even after that, the events of that day and that meadow did not end.
I'm sure a new adventure awaits you.
